This year was turned upside down when we found out that Allie needed to have surgery on the 23rd of December. We were planning on going down to San Diego to spend Christmas with my family at my sister and brother-in-laws. Instead they all came here to spend Christmas with us!! It is so fun to watch the kids wake up and come out to see what Santa left for them. Treysen's highlight was 2009 NFL draft cards, and Allie's was her Hello Kitty gumball machine. Steve totally surprised me with a new pair of black Uggs and Steve's favorite gift was the food processor that my parents got him. He really has become quite the chef. We had a great day opening presents, eating yummy food, drinking great wine and playing many rounds of Apples to Apples!!
Merry Christmas Eve!!! The day started of with Steve making a huge breakfast for us...Chocolate chip pancakes, eggs with pepper jack and bacon. After breakfast my girlfriends Gina cam to visit Allie and hung out for a bit, then Jill and I took off to do some late minute errands while Steve and Uncle Joshy hungout with the kiddos! For the record Jill and I had to go to Vino 100 to buy a gifts and may of had a glass or two of wine!! Love her to pieces, just wish she was closer:( Uncle Joshy, Allie and CoCo watching Dora Christmas!! Jill and Josh's wedding cake was not quite right so the bakery told her they would make her a cake for a special occasion. She chose christmas...it was not only beautiful but yummy!! Papa double fisting it!!
Our good friends Will and Alli had a little holiday gathering. Yummy snacks, amazing drinks and great friends!! All the girls Boys will be boys, chillin' in the kitchen! Melissa, Me, Cori and Danielle Nanita and I Beautiful girls.....
As some of you may know on Dec 23rd Allie had to have surgery to remove a mass that was foumd under herr chin toward her neck. The surgeon felt that it needed to be done right away so the 23rd it was. We were supossed to be in San Diego at my Sister and Brother-in-Laws for the holiday so they were awesome and took Christmas to Fresno for this year as well as Mimi and Papa. We had to be at Childrens Hospital at 9:00am and her surgery was not till alomst Noon. We did lots of playing and goofing around with her. She was in the best spirits and never showed an ounce of concern or nervousness. Mimi, Papa, Grammie, Grandpa Jim, Grandma Tiffany, and Uncle Jim all were at the hospital to support our family. We had a few favorite moments....When Allie was told to get on the bed so they could take her to get ride of her lump, she looked at the anesthesiologist and said "I'm not sick, I just have a lump....I can walk" LOL that is so Allie!! Then next was in recovery, Steve and I were just standing next to her bed rubbing her hair when Steve said he was going to go get Papa to Allie. Allie responded " Daddy, Papa is in the window" We laughed knowing that she was on a lot of drugs. As Steve moved to leave, there was my Dad in the window making faces at Allie!!! We just got all the results back and her lump was a Thyroglossal Duct Cyst!! Totally benign!!
Jonah turned 3 on the 21 of Demember. Jim and Shannon had the family over to celebrate. Jonah is on of the most fun loving kids and ALWAYS has a sweet smile on his face!! Happy, Happy Birthday Buddy, we love you!!
